DJORDJEVIC: Registration of workers from the first day of hiring

From now on, employers in Serbia will need to register their workers as soon as they hire them, and not three days later, as was the practice until now, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Zoran Djordjevic announced on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in Belgrade.

He told the press that this was envisaged by the amendments to the Labor Law.

Those amendments, though pertaining to the activities of the Labor Inspection, are directed at countering illegal employment and failure to pay employee contributions.
