Companies in Serbia wait for money 139 days on the average - 7,6% of debts are never collected

The survey of the organization showed that a total of 7.6% of receivables are never collected on an annual basis, as firms to whom the product or service provided is blocked or bankrupt before settling their debts.
Contractors of works in energy and gas networks and networks (219 days), construction companies (203 days), food producers (164 days), textile companies (163 days) are waiting for the longest payday, while banking services is (13 days) and accommodation services in tourism (53 days) is the shortest to close. The legal deadline for collecting receivables between private companies is 60 days, and public sector is obliged to settle its obligations within 45 days. The network also announced that in comparison with 2016, when the average indebtedness of the surveyed company was 196.5% compared to the amount of subscribed capital, indebtedness continued to increase and it is 202.7% now. Debts for parafiscal incentives are the first on the list with 29.7% of the surveyed companies, debts to banks for loans and borrowings at 28.4%, to suppliers and business partners at 21.5%, and to the state for tax purposes and customs at 11 , 3% of respondents.
