Robert De Niro wants to buy "Avala film"?

President Boris Tadić spoke in New York to celebrated movie star Robert De Niro. The Hollywood star is interested in investing in the film industry in Serbia.
Robert de Niro, founder of "Tribecca" film festival, and the representatives of companies "Saliport", "Dreamworks" and "Coppola" said to Tadić that they were interested in investing in the film industry in Serbia and privatization of "Avala film".
Following the meeting with Tadić in New York’s hotel "Waldorf Astoria", De Niro said that they had talked about making of movies in the studios in Serbia and pointed out that he had not known that there were studios like Roman "Cinecitta" in Serbia, which was excellent.
- We met, talked and discussed what we could do in the future – said De Niro, but he could not answer the question about some possible future business arrangements.
- I remember the time when I was in Belgrade. It was wonderful. The city was magnificent at that time and I believe that it is now the same, if not even better - De Niro pointed out and added that "it would be nice to make movies, live or work there, but I don’t know whether I will do it, although I could because it is a wonderful place".
