CORD iPS, representative of the German biomedical center Seracell in Serbia will also become representative of the German stem cell bank Vita34 on January 1, 2018.

As stated in the company's press release, CORD iPS will thereby become the only company in Serbia to offer the services of German biomedical centers which deal in long-term storage and bioengineering of stem cells.

Director of CORD iPS, Jovanka Srdic, said that parents in Serbia would be able to choose whether to have samples stored under the brand Vita34 or Seracell and that specialized high-tech labs in Leipzig and Roctock, in which more than 1,000 stem cell transplants for medical treatment purposes have been prepared so far, would be available to them.

Vita34 is the oldest stem cell bank in Europe, with over 20 years of experience, the press release says.

Let us remind that the company Bio Save was the only representative of Vita34 in Serbia until now and that, according to the Business Registers Agency, the German company has a 30% share in Bio Save.

The Belgrade' company's office, however, couldn't comment at the moment for our portal on whether the change means that they will no longer be representatives of Vita34 and whether the German company is to leave the ownership.
