State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, met with a delegation of the State Duma Committee for Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in order to discuss the potentials for an expansion of the cooperation, especially regarding privatization.

Stevanovic presented the privatization portfolio of the Ministry of Economy to representatives of the Russian State Duma, especially the three companies of the chemical complex, Petrohemija, Azotara and MSK. He reminded that a public invitation for the privatization of MSK had been opened and added that all three companies might be interesting to Russian companies, as they use gas as the main source, says a press release by the Ministry of Economy.

The state secretary also said that there were other companies in the privatization portfolio that Russian investors might be interested in and asked the representatives of the State Duma to present the potentials of this type of cooperation to companies in their country.

The Russian delegation informed Stevanovic that their country appreciated Serbia’s position not to impose sanctions on Russia, although it is a candidate for EU membership, says the press release.
