THE SWEDISH COMPANY SECURITAS AB, ACQUIRED SECURITY SERVICES COMPANY SCP INTERNATIONAL FROM BELGRADE – THE NEW OWNER AMBITIOUS FUTURE BUSINESS PLANS

The Swedish company „Securitas AB“, one of the global leader in the security services market, acquireed Serbian company "SCP International", intending to introduce a new work procedure and implement higher operating standards in „SCP International“.

„SCP International“ actually is the third largest security company in Serbia (with a 6% share in the security market in Serbia), with generated annual sales of about EUR 8 million and has 1,500 employees, as told at the press-conference.

The chairman of Securitas for Europe, Mr. Bart Adam, said that ambitious of Securitas is to make "SCP International" to be the first company in the security market in Serbia:

- This acquisition means one step more for "SCP International" development. I hope we will help to transfer to the Serbian market the experience and knowledge generated by the Swedish company and thereby contribute to the implementation of world standards and methods of operation in this market.

Mr. Pavel Rafalski, the vicepresident „Securitas“ for Eastern Europe and Board member of Securitas in Serbia, said that „Securitas“ in next period plans similar acquisitions in other countries in the Region.

In December 2008, "SCP Internacional" will change name in "Securitas" and start to use the "Securitas" logo.

The Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Ivica Dačić received a working visit from the officials of Securitas AB. On this occasion, as it was told to journalists, the guests introduced the their plans for improvement of operations and investment in new private security transactions in the Republic of Serbia.

The focus of the talks was on the expected enactment of a proposed legislative instrument governing private security, which would make a substantial contribution to the improvement of standards and quality of services. This is where Securitas AB sees its mission in Serbia.

In 2007, total sales in the Securitas Group (more then 30 countries all over the world) amounted to EUR 6,387 milliards. It's share 12% of the global security services market, 16% in North America and 18% in Europa.

SCP International is the company specializing in physical and technical security, fire protection, transport of money and valuables (cash in transit – CIT) and alarm monitoring.
