(Miroljub Aleksic) Miroljub Aleksic, owner of Alco Group, which includes Pionir Subotica, stated on December 18 that he was negotiating with the global company Mondelez about the acquisition of their plant in Hungary, which would produce the Negro candy bearing the Made in EU designation.

– Pionir has been producing the Negro candy, one of the most famous brands in Serbia, since 1920. We are now conducting the negotiations with Mondelez and we hope to complete them next year – Aleksic told the press at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

He reminded that Mondelez was one of the biggest multinational companies, producing Milka, Kraft and similar products.

– We intend to take over the plant of theirs that produces Negro in Hungary only. We have the global trademark. We are negotiating with them and we hope to complete the acquisition – he said.

Aleksic emphasized that the most important thing was that Pionir would thereby get the Made in EU certificate.
