Local management to take over Tikkurila’s Balkans operations

Tikkurila OYJ announced on December 21 that it had reached an agreement on the sale of the company’s total share capital in Serbia to the local management. The company, it is said, will continue producing the Zorka Color brand products and distributing Tikkurila products in the Balkans, while strengthening the said brands.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.

– We are continuing with the activities we’ve started and the projects aiming to enhance the company’s business results, as well as to strengthen the market positions in all the markets of the region. The said transformation has created conditions for more efficient operations and the growth and development of local production, along with an increase in the sales of the Zorka Color and Tikkurila products in the Balkans. With the local management familiar with the market, the job and the people, I’m convinced that we will succeed in our intention to develop the company so that it would become a leader in its field – stated Djoka Janjusevic, Managing Director of Tikkurila.

Special attention in further development plans will be paid to the Zorka Color products.
