"Henkel" bought another 2.33% of stocks of company "Henkel Merima" from Kruševac for 3.1m EUR
- The Share Fund sold 2.33% of stocks of company "Henkel Merima" from Kruševac, which were owned by the Privatization Registry, for 3.1m EUR - Privatization Agency announced today (October 13, 2008).
The buyer is "Henkel's" company registered in Vienna, which already owns 70% of factory "Henkel Merima".
"Merima" was sold to German concern "Henkel" on the tender in August 2002 for 14.4m EUR. The new owner, which was obliged to invest 43.1m EUR within five years, has, so far, invested over 100m EUR in Kruševac-based factory.
The Privatization Registry is the owner of 15% of stocks of the company that is privatized on the tender and the money from sale of these stocks will be distributed among the citizens of Serbia.
The Privatization Registry used to own stocks of 93 companies in Serbia, and it is expected that another 70 companies will be sold on the tender.
The sale of the stocks from the Privatization Registry started in May 2008 and, so far, the stocks worth about 250m EUR have been sold.
