German "Narva" and Pančevo-based "Panelektro" to produce "economic" bulb, first bulbs in February - one-year guarantee
Pančevo-based company Panelektro, in cooperation with Narva company from Germany and namesake company from Bosnia and Herzegovina, had the production hall built on 1,700 square meters in Vladimirovac village, 20 km away from Pančevo.
Thanks to state-of-the-arts equipment, manufactured by German partner, 80% of the new bulb will be produced in our country. Panelektro organized production of starters for "economic" bulbs, which is the most complicated part. During the first year of production, it is planned that the factory produces 100,000 bulbs, 2 million starters and 10,000 lighters for sodium-based bulbs for street lighting.
First 30,000 economic bulbs will appear on the market on February 15, 2005, so that the management of the factory could estimate the demand for these bulbs. At the end of May 2005, after the completion of all construction works and installation of new equipment for program of standard and sodium-based high-pressure bulbs, the factory will be officially put into operation.
Retail price of domestic "economic" bulb will amount to € 4, VAT included. After some quality tests, for the first time in Serbia, the bulbs will be sold with 6,000-hour warranty, i.e. one year.
