Novi Sad and Macquarie Sydney universities agree cooperation in PhD studies

The prestigious Australian university has set aside one million Australian dollars for the financing of co-mentorship (cotutelle) for the most successful students from the University of Novi Sad. A mentor from Novi Sad and a mentor from Sydney will work with them, and they will also be enabled to stay and conduct research in both universities. Advantage will be given to candidates who deal with new materials, nanotechnologies and other topics from the priority fields of the Center for Strategic and Advanced Studies of the University of Novi Sad.
The details regarding the realization of the agreement will be defined at the end of January 2018, at the international gathering dedicated to joint mentorship organized in Sydney by the Macquarie University.
The press release says that this type of cooperation is important for the academic community of the University of Novi Sad from multiple aspects. It will enable a more intensive exchange of information and ideas, access to top-quality laboratories and other resources of partner institutions and connections between the leading scientists from different corners of the globe.
The Macquarie University was founded in 1964 with the idea of being a recognizable and advanced institution for the development of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies. The university has built an excellent reputation in the field of science in the meantime. All research conducted by the institution adheres to the highest global standards or exceeds them, and more than 100 researchers from the Macquarie University belong to the 1% of the top researchers in the world.
