(Illustration) The Milk Quality Control Laboratory began operating on January 15 by monitoring the production of milk in the entire territory of Serbia.

The aim of monitoring, as a mandatory part of the process of accreditation, is to determine the quality at primary producers so that the production of milk in Serbia would improve through further education and cooperation with them, the Ministry of Agriculture announced.

The monitoring will be entirely free.

The Directorate for National Reference Laboratories (DNRL) expects the lab to be accredited by the end of the year and that, beginning with 2019, the premium for a liter of milk will be paid in line with the quality grade.
