(Ana Brnabic) Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic presented the country's experiences in the field of digitalization and the way digitalization and IT were changing Serbia at the Digital, Life, Design conference in Munich on January 22.

As said on the official website of the Government of Serbia, Brnabic pointed out at one of the most important innovation conferences in Europe, held from January 20 through 22, that Serbia was a country of many talented people and people with the creative potential and added that the young people of Serbia had managed to establish successful, internationally-renowned companies.

– That's why I'm now able to present Serbia through a company such as Nordeus, which has developed a game with over 170 million users, Seven Bridges Genomics, and been pronounced one of the 50 smartest companies in the world, as well as startup IT centers, which educate people how to establish sustainable businesses, and the BioSense Institute, the leader in the field of digital agriculture – the prime minister pointed out.

Brnabic emphasized that digitalization and education were the government's key priorities, as the state wants to provide a stronger support to the potentials which already exist, so as to enable a faster growth of the IT industry through the creation of a stronger ecosystem, as this industry could have a great impact on the long-term growth of the entire economy in the years to come.

The prime minister also talked about innovations and creativity as the foundations of a national identity and the importance of their usage for the cultural diplomacy purposes. According to her, Serbia has a great cultural and artistic heritage, which can be further upgraded through the strengthening of creative industries, thereby creating a globally recognized national brand.

The Digital, Life, Design conference, the government reminds on its website, is one of the two most important innovation conferences in Europe according to the renowned British magazine The Economist. This Munich gathering takes place not too long before the Davos World Economic Forum. It brings together 150 speakers and over 800 participants from the entire world.
