The renowned restaurant Stara Sent Andrea is traditionally organizing a gastronomic event called South Adriatic Days. From February 9 through March 11, the Zemun coast of the Danube will be rife with maritime ambiance, and the guests will be able to taste selected specialties prepared from fresh sea fish and other seafood, to be delivered daily from the Adriatic area. The menu will feature fresh catch prepared by top chefs from the sea area and Sent Andrea’s cooks specially trained for preparing seafood using traditional recipes.
Depending on the catch, over the course of this unique sea food festival, while enjoying the sounds of Mediterranean music, the guests of Stara Sent Andrea will have a rare opportunity of tasting the most prized Adriatic fish: Saint Piere, dentex, European sea bass, gilt-head sea bream, grouper, red scorpion fish, amberjack fish, seabream, sole... all caught by fishermen from the south of Montenegro the very same morning, mere hours before being served. In addition to sea fish, the menu will feature shrimp, gambor, octopi and a wide selection of sea shells.
– True aficionados can always notice the difference between bred fish and authentic catch from the depths of the Adriatic, but also the subtleties of flavor depending on the freshness and the manner of preparation. For them and all those who want to be introduced to this rare gastronomic offer, this is a unique opportunity to have an authentic experience. With our maritime colleagues, we’ve created the festival menu and we will be preparing gratinated fish, fish baked in salt, grilled fish, stews with four kinds of fish, clear angler fish soup and various seafood specialties using well-kept recipes, whereas fish stew as made by old Adriatic fishermen will be prepared every day – says the head chef of Stare Sent Andrea.
The gastronomic delight will be enhanced by a warm ambiance, Mediterranean music, special festival prices and wines at promotional prices.
