Construction of first of four buildings to start in March – Reconstruction of apartments damaged in 2010 Kraljevo earthquake to begin

The construction of the first of the four buildings encompassed by the project of the reconstruction of the apartments after the earthquake in Kraljevo will begin by the end of March, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure announced.

According to the press release, the building has 106 apartments.

The beginning of the construction of the second building is expected to take place in late 2018, whereas the raising of the third and the fourth one should begin in late 2019. The plan is to have all four buildings, in which 366 families will find home, to be completed by the end of 2020.

The project is realized with the proceeds from the loan of the Council of Europe Development Bank and is worth EUR 8 million. With its completion, the housing issue for citizens of Kraljevo whose apartments were damaged in the 2010 earthquake will be permanently solved.
