The 2017 net profit of MOL Group amounted to USD 1.11 billion, an increase by 18% compared to 2016, the company announced.

MOL increased EBITDA by 14% to USD 2.45 billion, exceeding the 2017 plan thanks to the strong financial and operating results in all business segments.

Organic investments amounted to USD 1.04 billion, in line with the downsized plan, and were slightly higher than those in 2016.

As said in the press release, the daily production amounted to 107,400 barrel of oil equivalent (BOE).

Zsolt Hernadi, MOL Group Chairman and CEO, said that “equally importantly, 2017 was also a year of visible progress along our transformation journey set out in the MOL 2030 strategy”.

– We comfortably beat our upgraded earnings targets with increasing contribution from all businesses – he said and added that they also expected to deliver around USD 2.2 billion EBITDA in 2018.
