FlyBosnia to launch flights in summer 2018 – Riyadh first destination from Sarajevo

The Sarajevo-based airline FlyBosnia is preparing to begin operating this summer, with Riyadh as its first destination. The Directorate of Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed that the airline has filed a request for an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and that the request is currently being reviewed.

Although the airline will initially link Sarajevo with Saudi Arabia, they plan to expand their operations to destinations throughout Europe, namely Frankfurt, Stockholm and Amsterdam, EX-YU Aviation News reports.

FlyBosnia was founded by Al Shiddi Group from Saudi Arabia, which has been operating in B&H since 2006.

During the summer season of 2017, Al Shiddi Group and the Egyptian company Nesma Airlines launched five weekly flights between Riyadh and Sarajevo. This year, FlyBosnia will take its place on the said route.
