FlixMobility to expand operations to railways – First services in Germany to be launched in March

After FlixBus, the company FlixMobility expanded its business to the railway transport as well. As the company announced, the first FlixTrain trains will start operating routes in Germany on March 24.

The first destinations to be connected to the network are Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Koln, and by the end of 2018, FlixTrain will link a total of 28 destinations throughout Germany.

– Buses and trains complement each other perfectly – Andre Schwammlein, director and co-founder of FlixMobility Group, said and added that they wanted to show that “long-distance travel can be comfortable at affordable prices”.


The press release says that, since the service was launched in 2013, over 100 million passengers have used the FlixBus services. New international routes and new destinations in the 27 countries FlixBus is currently available in have been announced, and the services are expected to become available in America too in early summer.
