The Novi Sad-based company Gastrans has opened a public call for the submission of non-binding bids for the reservation of the capacities of the new pipeline, which will go through the Republic of Serbia and connect the national transport systems of Bulgaria and Hungary.

The aim of the public call is to enable all interested parties to submit non-binding bids for the exploitation of the future pipeline based on which Gastrans is to decide on the feasibility of the construction of the pipeline, as well as the amount of the required exemption, says the public call.

The deadline for the submission of non-binding bids is April 15, 2018, and the final results will be published by April 30.

The commercial operations of the pipeline are expected to start on October 1, 2019, but this date is subject to change.

The current pipeline project envisages an entry point at the Serbian-Bulgarian border (location in the territory of the Municipality of Zajecar) and four exit points: one near Paracin, one near Pancevo, one close to Gospodjinci in the Municipality of Zabalj, and one on the Serbian-Hungarian border (location near Horgos in the territory of the Municipality of Kanjiza).

A projected pressure of 7.4 MPa is planned at the moment, as well as the maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of 6.6 MPa on the borders, an operating pressure of 6.4 to 6.6 MPa at the entry point, 6 to 6.6 MPa at the exit point Serbia-Paracin and 6.5 to 6.6 MPa at the exit points Horgos, Serbia-Pancevo and Serbia-Gospodjinci, the ad says.

Let us remind that the South Stream company was renamed in early February as Gastrans.
