Companies "InBev" and US "Anheuser-Busch" joined forces – Serbian “Jelen” among 200 beer brands
The Apatin Brewer, a member of company "InBev", announced
yesterday (November 29, 2008) that the merger of "InBev" and US "Anheuser-Busch"
had taken place and that new brewer company "Anheuser-Busch InBev"
had been created.
According to the announcement, the merger made company "Anheuser-Busch
InBev" one of the world’s five largest companies that deal with production
of consumer goods. The company will be present in 30 countries and it will be the
leader in more than 20 markets.
It is also written in the announcement that "Anheuser-Busch InBev" has
over 200 beer brands in its product portfolio, among which are "stella
artois", "beck`s" and local beer "jelen".
The Apatin Brewer expect that it will achieve even better business results this year as a member of "Anheuser- Busch InBev". Last year it sold total of 3.5m hl of beer, about 600,000 liters of which were exported, which means that the sales growth amounted to 6%.
