Etihad has in no way indicated that it will pull out of the strategic partnership with Air Serbia, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Brnabic said that Air Serbia was “healthy” and that it “operates in line with all the plans”.
– Air Serbia operates in line with all the plans, but it is a participant in a competitive market and makes certain decisions that might not be popular, but don’t worry, it’s a healthy company – Brnabic said and added that she couldn’t know what a private company’s plans are, but that Air Serbia was capable of finding a new strategic partner at any moment.
According to her, compared to 2013, Air Serbia has increased the number of passengers by 90% and the number of planes by 23%.
Brnabic also said that Fiat was not pulling out of Kragujevac and that a new agreement was being prepared, which, unlike the previous one “will take into account the interests of the citizens of Serbia”.
The Government, she reminded, acted as the mediator in the negotiations between the unions and the management of Fiat and managed to push for a new, three-year agreement to be signed, securing those people’s job positions to an extent.
Brnabic also said that they were working on the development of Kragujevac and that there were serious indications that other investor might arrive and create several thousand jobs.
