Luss Investment to produce uniforms and protective clothes in Raska – Municipality to lease hall worth EUR 9 million

The production of work and protective clothes, army, police and hunting uniforms will soon begin at the new production hall in the village of Draganici near Raska.

Several hundred textile workers will therefore be employed there in the upcoming months, which also marks the end of the search for an investors and the dilemma of whether the hall will be used for the production of this or some other type.

– We expect to successfully complete the negotiations about the renting of this production space. This is a successful potential renter, the Belgrade-based company Luss Investment – says Ignjat Rakitic, president of the municipality of Raska.

Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic and UAE Ambassador to Serbia Al Dhaheri promised this factory hall to the people of Raska at the meeting in the village in late 2016 on behalf of the donor, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.

The village of Draganici, located five kilometers away from Raska in the direction of Novi Pazar, now features a modern production facility. As promised, the hall has a total of 11.5 thousand of square meters, and in addition to the production part, there’s also the warehouse, the administrative and the technical unit.

The sheikh’s foundation invested around EUR 9 million in the construction of the facility and, as Rakitic reminds, the promise of the foundation’s representatives that they would also help with the technical equipping is still valid.
