The president of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Luka Burilovic, stated on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, that the agreement with the Russian banks about the Agrokor concern would enable the company to continue operating without obstacle from July 15.

He told the press in Belgrade that Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Martina Dalic had visited Bled, where she had meetings with representatives of businessmen from Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, marked by all-around optimism over the reaching of the agreement.

Burilovic said that the agreement would be realized on July 15, when lex specialis on Agrokor expires.

– The most important thing is that the agreement has been reached and that Agrokor will continue operating without obstacle from July 15 – Burilovic said.

According to the draft agreement, Sberbank and VTB Bank would be majority owners of the concern, relatively, as they would have a 30 to 46% stake.

Agrokor shareholders would own 23 to 25% of the company, local banks would own around 10%, and the suppliers would own around 8%.

The Government of Croatia put Agrokor, which had been experiencing financial troubles, under enforced management in April 2017. The concern employs around 60,000 people in the region.
