Serbia to establish consulate post in Nepal

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic spoke today at the esteemed Nepal Council of World Affairs during his official visit.

The statement on the site Serbian Government says that Dacic spoke on the subject 'Position of Serbia in the region, Europe and the world' to many reputable guests there.

He introduced them to the current affairs in the Western Balkans region, the process of joining the EU and the Kosovo situation.

The minister mentioned the long tradition of friendly relations with Nepal and presented Serbia's viewpoint on further development of bilateral cooperation of the two countries.


Dacic stated the intention of Serbia to open a consulate in Nepal appointing an honorary consul and confirmed that Serbia is considering abolishing visas for Nepal citizens, all with the goal of deepening the relationship between the countries.

Minister's speech was an excellent opportunity to bring Serbia closer to the academic public in Nepal in the context of Western Balkans region, Europe and the world.
