Sombor to get a new business zone with business incubator, cooling plant, wholesale green market... – Multimillion investment to be realized in 2019

Sombor will get a new business zone, the construction of which is planned for 2019, eKapija learns at this local self-government. As they say, the planned value of this investment is several million euros.

The new business zone will take up 17,186 m2 in the location of the former business complex of Agrosavez, within the Sombor industrial zone.

– The location of the former complex of Agrosavez features out-of-operation facilities on 4,604 m2, but there’s a possibility for them to be revitalized and adapted. The trade shop complex and fairgrounds, which are currently situated in wholly inadequate locations, will be located there. The facility will contain units suitable for all activities one can find in a business center of this kind. The parcel also features pre-fabricated facilities, which will be removed, to be replaced by a modern cooling plant, a warehouse, a business incubator... – says the Municipality of Sombor.

They add that an entirely new facility of 1,250 m2 will be built for the business incubator and that all facilities will be provided with the necessary infrastructure.

As they explain, the Sombor business zone will be a new model, in which a unique, multi-purpose space for business-commercial exploitation will be formed, with all the facilities connected into a functional whole and allowing for further modernization and potential expansion of capacities.

– This year, we will complete the documentation and try to find a source of finance, and we plan for the construction to start next year – the local self-government says for our portal and adds that the Sombor-based PUE Prostor will run the business center.

The public invitation for the preparation of the project-technical documentation for this business zone has already opened and is valid until June 13.

– Following the realization of the project, Sombor will be recognizable for its specific trade shop and exhibit center, the kind of which doesn’t exist anywhere in Serbia – Prostor emphasizes for our portal.
