The tender for the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway, which has been estimated at slightly over EUR 3 billion, will open this summer. Another fuel price increase in Serbia has also been announced and will no doubt have an impact on the economy, considering the share of transportation costs in companies' balance sheets. Also, all professional drivers in Serbia should get a certificate for using motor vehicles, known as SPS in Europe, by the end of 2019.
These are just some of the news in the transportation sector at the moment when over 30 infrastructural projects in the field of road and rail transport are being realized in Serbia. Along with the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budapest railway, which will cost around USD 2 billion on the Serbian side, several other sections of the most important corridors should open for traffic as well, and a lot is expected from the further development of air transport too, after the signing of the concession agreement on the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, worth EUR 1.46 billion.
The current projects in the field of transport, the current situation and potentials for further development will be the topics of eKapija's Special Edition Newsletter, “Transport – Driving Engine of the Economy”, to be published on May 29, 2018.
We will look into the current situation and trends in transportation, see how far capital projects have progressed, what the state of the market of transportation means is like, as well as what the latest technologies are that have an impact on the modernization of transportation – smart and electric vehicles, self-driving trucks, modern navigation systems, software solutions for smart transport management...
Among others, cargo-partner, Bodena, Orbico, ABB and DB Inzenjering will present their products, services, solutions and projects.
The Special Edition Newsletter “Transport – Driving Engine of the Economy” is an idea place for you to recommend your company, services or products that can contribute to improvements in this field.
