First Wall Street female leader after more than 225 years

Stacey Cunningham is the first female leader of the New York Stock Exchange in its 226-year history.

The parent company of the NYSE, Intercontinental Exchange Inc., told The Wall Street Journal Monday night that Stacey Cunningham, currently NYSE’s chief operating officer will become the 67th president, AP reports.

Cunningham will start her new job on Friday. She succeeds Thomas Farley, who came to the NYSE in November 2013.
