New possibilities of cooperation of Free Zone Pirot with China-Belarus free economic zone

During their recent visit to the China-Belarus free economic zone GreatStone, representatives of Free Zone Pirot defined the framework of a memorandum of cooperation which will promote the possibilities for investments in both zones, which will enable Chinese companies from Belarus to export their goods to the EU market, with which Serbia also has a duty free arrangement.

GreatStone is a zone of 91.5 square kilometers with a special legal status making it suitable for business. It is located 25 kilometers away from Minsk and is the most successful of the 70 examples of Chinese investments of this kind in the world, Free Zone Pirot says.

The Zone's delegation took part in the 15th Gomel Economic Forum during their visit to Belarus.

Representatives of free zones Pirot and Gomel-Raton discussed the possibilities of export of their users' products to the markets of Serbia and Belarus with the help of the chambers of Gomel and Pirot and in line with the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Belarus, which the companies working in Free Zone Pirot should use to their benefit, the press release adds.
