Three more former Yugoslavian residences in the world waiting to be sold

Tokyo, Bern and Bonn – three cities in which the prices of real estate are skyrocketing, are the next places after New York where apartments that used to belong to the former Yugoslavia are expected to be sold.

At the meeting held in Skopje, Macedonia, on April 4 and 5, 2016, the common board of the successor states for the succession of the diplomatic and consular property of the former Yugoslavia reached the decision on the initiation of the procedure of a joint sale of the so-called large complexes, that is, real estate whose size and value makes it too big for any individual state of former Yugoslavia. Among the first apartments to be sold was the one that belonged to the ambassador of the SFRY mission at the UN.

Of the remaining property, the most valuable one is the embassy building and residence in Tokyo with 1,726 m2, whose value was estimated at USD 16 million in Skopje.

The embassy building and residence in Bern has 1,758 m2 and has been evaluated at USD 7.7 million.

The embassy in Bonn has 2,392 m2 and its value has been estimated at USD 5.4 million.
