Serbian Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali talked to Sebastian Sosa, resident representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Serbia, about the new arrangement with that financial institution on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, the Ministry of Finance announced.

The IMF delegation, headed by James Roaf, will be visiting Belgrade from June 11 through 13 for the purpose of agreement on the arrangement, which will not be financial, but advisory.

Mali and Sosa, as said, talked about maintaining the macroeconomic and fiscal stability, as well as about carrying out structural reforms, which will incite a quicker, sustainable growth in the medium and the long term.

It was said at the meeting that excellent financial results had been achieved in Serbia in the previous four years and that the biggest challenge in the next period would be how to find new sources of growth.

Sosa pointed out that public investments were important.

Mali and Sosa also discussed the necessary reform of the Tax Administration, as well as the new law on compensations, which will improve the business environment.
