National Theater in Belgrade and National Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana agree cooperation in production and co-production

The director of the National Theater in Belgrade, Dejan Savic, and the director of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana, Zana Cela, signed a protocol of cooperation, which envisages the sharing of productions and artists, as well as the realization of co-productions, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, the website of the Government of Serbia reports.

Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljevic reminded that Serbia and Albania had signed an agreement on cultural cooperation the previous year in Tirana and added that he expected the cooperation to develop in full in the next years.

The minister said that the bilateral relations in the field of culture were good at the moment, but that there was also a lot of room for their further improvement.

So far, the cooperation is carried out in the field of cultural heritage protection, the number of translations of literary works is increasing, which is important, and there's a cooperation between independent scenes, so there is a good basis and the ministries and institutions of culture, but also the independent scenes of the two countries, are expected to enhance the cooperation, he said.
