A new facility for the processing of vegetables and spice and medicinal herbs has opened at the Kanjiza-based company Geneza, through the Prosperitati foundation, Agrosmart reports.

The investment is worth EUR 3 million and entails the new facility and a storage hall featuring modern technology.

The capacities have expanded with this investment, and around 15,000 tons will be processed in the two facilities annually, encompassing as many as 14 cultures. The management expects for them to be kept in the production program.

As said, Geneza has signed long-term agreements with around 80 agricultural properties, for which this kind of production, which has a place in the market, will mean security in agricultural production in the next five years, but also a change in the sowing structure, Agrosmart reports.
