In cooperation with Elcom, the CCIS created this electronic trade platform, based on one of the most modern pieces of procurement software, which business people and companies can use to purchase and sell goods.
The project is another step towards the modernization and the digitization of operations in the Serbian market, the CCIS says and adds that the goal is for doing business through this platform to spread to the entire region and for the Serbian economy to become the regional leader in the eCommerce sphere.
– Serbia is going through a process of digitalization, and this platform provides momentum for this process through the promotion of online commerce – said Sava Savic, assistant to the minister of trade and telecommunications.
He says that “all citizens, as well as small and medium companies, can shop and present their services through this platform with only three clicks, with full transparency”.
Savic added that the platform would help reduce the grey economy and increase consumer trust in electronic commerce, while providing greater consumer protection.
Natasa Kecman, head of the Center for Services and Mediation at the CCIS, explained that “digital services do not complicate the operating processes for the user and therefore do not require any additional activities from the employees”.
According to her, one of the advantages is that no additional authorization is required.
– On the contrary, we offer a range of various solutions you can fit in, depending on what your operating processes are – Kecman added.
Kecman points out for eKapija that the process of digitalization is something that needs to move forward and that all the advantages of modern technologies should be used in order to accelerate operating processes and make them less expensive.
– It is for this reason that we've launched this electronic commerce platform in cooperation with Elcom, so as to enable all these processes and procurement procedures to be carried out more easily and quickly – Kecman says.
Three-click purchase saving time and money
Each user can be a purchaser or a supplier. Suppliers without additional means for promotion can market their products and services and open new markets, whereas purchasers are provided with the entire offer in the market and direct communication with suppliers in a single place.

The trade is easy, quick and secure, and Klik 3 Mreza is available on mobile phones too. The registration and the usage of the shopping network is free for all users, whereas software maintenance and license costs are covered through sales transactions.
Elcom's operations in Serbia
As explained, the new platform will enable a simpler database search, and users are provided with detailed information on the selected product, the option to compare products, real time information, whereas the entire process of purchase is controlled by the director or the owner of the company.
William Lock, Chairman of Elcom, points out for eKapija that this is an important project for Serbia, as it will give it great advantage in the region and enable it to be the leader in this field.
– We have been working on this project with the CCIS for two years now. This is an exciting project which enables a simple mutual trade for companies in Serbia – Lock says.
He adds that the platform will enable Serbia to take the leading position in the region, thanks to the technology the other countries don't have.
Elcom is one of the leading eProcurement software companies with over 150,000 clients and transactions worth USD 100 billion.
