SEAF to invest over 220,000 EUR in development of Serbian "A2BExpress Delivery" in 2009 – another 2m EUR for promotion of Serbian entrepreneurship within next two years
- Investment fund SEAF - "South Balkan Fund" plans to invest over220,000 EUR in development of Serbian company "A2B Express Delivery"in 2009, and another 2m EUR in promotion of entrepreneurship in Serbia withinthe next two years – said Lorena Radonjić, the Investment Manager of SEAF.
Company "A2B Express Delivery" is the courier agency that wasfounded last year, and it deals with transportation and distribution of goodsbetween the companies.
- SEAF’s aim is to expand distribution network of the company to include theterritory of whole Serbia, to increase number of employees from current 35 to175, and to provide quality training for personnel, all that through additionalcapitalization – Radonjić pointed out at the press conference in the Chamber ofCommerce of Belgrade.
She pointed out that that fund planned to invest in another five or sixmid-sized enterprises in Serbia, and she reminded that SEAF had invested about3.5m EUR in Serbia over the last two years.
In 2007 and 2008, "SEAF South Balkan Fund" additionallycapitalized Zrenjanin-based market chain "Gomex" with 1.5m EUR, aswell as two companies that deal with information technologies - "PCCentar" with 900,000 EUR and "Logo" with 1m EUR.
The co-owner of company "A2B Express Delivery", Kosta Čakarević,said that that company dealt exclusively with distribution of goods between thecompanies, and he pointed out that the main clients were IT and textile companies.
"SEAF South Balkan Fund" is the investment fund within SEAF, theglobal investment company with the headquarters in Washington, which runsprivate investment funds that invest in the companies in developing markets, includingcentral and east Europe, Asia and South America.
"SEAF South Balkan Fund" invests in private companies in Serbia,Montenegro and Macedonia.
