Superbrands awards handed out – eKapija among winners of prestigious acknowledgment

The prestigious Superbrands awards were handed out last night for the fourth time in Belgrade, and eKapija was one of the 236 companies to receive the status of a Serbian Superbrand 2017-18.

Our portal also supported the organization of the event of TGI Group International, as a media partner of the project.

The awards were handed out in 35 categories to companies which operate in line with top global standards and are socially responsible. In the selection process, 2,600 companies from Serbia were considered, and the laureates were picked by combining the votes of the Expert Council for Superbrands and the votes cast through a public survey.

The chairman of the Expert Council of Superbrands Serbia, Toplica Spasojevic, explained that the Superbrands program existed in 90 countries across the globe and the it aimed for an analytical approach to brand analysis in national markets.

– The superbrand status is a reliable indicator to consumers – Spasojevic emphasized and pointed out that the award criteria were based on the brand's long-term consistency and reliability, recognition and standing, as well as corporate responsibility.

Symeon Tsomokos, President of Superbrands Serbia, pointed out that brands weren't just the awarded companies, but people behind them, as success can only be achieved through team work of managers and employees.

This year's recipients and their respective categories are: Mona (clothes), Nike (footwear), Zlatara Andrejevic (jewelry and watches), Nivea (cosmetics and toiletry), Zlatiborac (food), Kovacevic winery's Aurelius (wines), Gorki List (alcoholic drinks), Lav (beer), Knjaz Milos (hot and cold drinks), Marlboro (tobacco products), Moja Kravica Imlek (dairy and ice cream), Smoki Soko Stark (salty snacks), Plazma Bambi (confectionery products), Belgrade restaurant Madera (bars and restaurants), Aspirin (pharmaceutical products), Ariel (home cleaning products), Mercedes Benz (automobiles), AD Aerodrom Nikola Tesla (transport), Blic (publishing and printed media), RTS (electronic media and internet), Lilly Drogerie (retailers and shopping centers), Banca Intesa (banking, finance and insurance), Deloitte Serbia (consulting services), Leo Burnett (business communications services), Kon Tiki travel (travel), Grand Hotel & Spa Kopaonik (hotels), Mother and Child Health Care Institute “Dr Vukan Cupic” (healthcare), Metalac Posudje (furniture and household equipment), Gorenje (house appliances), Microsoft (information and communications technologies), Telekom Srbija (telecommunications), Airport City Belgrade (construction and real estate), CRH Serbia (construction materials), NIS (energy), Belgrade Zoo (culture and events).


The Golden Superbrand status was won by Termovent, Mercedes Benz and Telekom Srbija.

Superbrands was created in 1994 in Great Britain. It is the leading world platform for the promotion of brands and is organized in 88 countries. With the reception of the Superbrands Serbia 2017-18 status, the awarded companies from Serbia have joined a large global Superbrands family.
