Global crisis to slow down Fiat’s investments in Kragujevac

"Fiat" will announce the plan for payment of 200m EUR for the founding capital of joint venture of Serbia and “Fiat” at the beginning of March - Nebojša Ćirić, the State Secretary of Economy and Privatization, said today (February 2nd, 2009).

- Realization of the investment plan will be slowed down because of the global crisis that hit automobile industry – said Ćirić after the meeting with trade unions and management of "Zastava".

The President of Independent trade union of Zastava Automobili, Zoran Mihajlović, said that "Fiat" would, most certainly, not pay the money for founding capital by the end of March, but he expected that money to be paid by the end of the year.
