MALIŠEV: "Gazrpomneft" to finish takeover of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" prior to February 6
- Russian "Gazpromneft" intends to
finish the takeover of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" (NIS) by Friday, February 6th -
said Dmitrij Mališev, the Adviser of the President of the Administrative Board
of that company.
He said to the press that the first step would be the scheduling of the meeting of the Assembly of stockholders of NIS and appointment of new members to the Administrative Board of Serbian oil company.
- The aim of "Gazpromneft" is to establish constructive dialogue with the stockholders of NIS about joint management of the company's property - Mališev pointed out. According to some earlier information, he should become the new President of the Administrative Board of NIS.
The top-priority steps will be, as he pointed out, reconstruction and modernization of technological complex of NIS, in accord with the signed agreements.
- That modernization programme anticipates expansion of capacities of NIS' refineries in order for them to be enabled to produce oil derivatives of European quality - said Mališev.
The transfer of 400m EUR, paid by Russian "Gazpromneft" for 51% of stocks of NIS, to the foreign currency account of REpublic of Serbia in the National Bank of Serbia was finished yesterday.
Serbia and Russian signed the contract on sale of NIS on December 24, 2008, which stipulates that "Gazpromneft" is obliged to invest minimum 547m EUR in NIS prior to year 2012.
