Extended Agreement on free trade between Serbia and Russia to be put in effect in March
The Deputy Prime Minister of
Serbia, Ivica Dačić, announced today (February 5, 2009) that the extended Agreement on free trade
between Serbia and Russia would be put in effect in March.
He expressed belief that the
foreign-trade exchange between the two countries would be significantly
increased thanks to that.
- The strategic aim of the Government of Serbia is to
have the foreign-trade exchange with Russia "doubled" in the following years - Dačić
pointed out.
He said that the list of products that would be encompassed by the free trade regime would be additionally expanded soon.
Dačić also added that Serbia should expect great effects of the realization of the energy agreement with Russia through privatization of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia", construction of gas pipeline and reconstruction of natural gas storage in Banatski Dvor.
