Memorandum on reconstruction of Belgrade-Nis railway signed with China’s CRBC

Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and representatives of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), signed a memorandum of cooperation on the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Nis railway on Friday evening, July 6, 2018, in Sofia.

Mihajlovic said that CRBC was interested in the railway Corridor 10, a priority project for the Government of Serbia, the ministry announced.

She said that the reconstruction of the 198-km railway from Belgrade to Nis required around EUR 600 million and that the first step was to prepare the project documentation.

The memorandum was signed in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic on the margins of the Seventh Summit of the Prime Ministers of China 16 Countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Sofia.
