The section is 19.5-km long and encompasses bypass sectors 4, 5 and 6.

The section in charge of the Chinese and the Azerbaijani contractors is 20.4-km long, including access routes, and the works are worth EUR 207 million.
Exim Bank China is financing 85% of the works and 15% is financed from the budget of Serbia.
The agreed completion deadline is July 20, 2021, or 36 months, under the condition that the credit is effective by the end of 2018.
Sector 4 entails the construction of the 7.7-km left lane of the highway from the Sava bridge near Ostruznica to the Orlovaca interchange. It entails the works on the left lane, the equipping of two tunnels: Lipak and Zeleznik and the construction of three bridges: bridge number 9, 10 and 11 (phase II) and the remaining works on the Orlovaca interchange (phase II).
Sector 5 entails the works on the 3.1-km left lane of the highway from the Orlovaca interchange to the Strazevica tunnel (including the tunnel). This entails the works on the left lane, which includes the construction of the route, the left tunnel tube of the Strazevica tunnel and three bridges: 13, 14 and 15.
Sector 6 entails the works on the construction of both lanes (full profile) of the highway from the Strazevica tunnel to the Bubanj Potok interchange (including the interchange), totaling 9.6 km in length. This entails works on the right and the left lanes of the highway, including the construction of the route, the Beli Potok tunnel, Avala and Bubanj Potok interchanges, as well as two bridges: 16 and 17.
The official commencement of the works was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic, ambassadors of China and Azerbaijan, Li Manchang and Eldar Hassanov, and the acting director of the Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak.
The bypass route is part of Corridor 10 and will connect its two branches – towards Hungary (northern branch) and Croatia (E-75), as well as Corridor 11 (E-763), that is, the highway to Montenegro.
The bypass route around Belgrade should go up to Pancevo and be 69 kilometers long, and its construction started 28 years ago.
It consists of Section A: Batajnica-Dobanovci, on which the works on the route and Dobanovci and Batajnica interchanges have already been completed; Section B: Dobanovci-Bubanj Potok, which consists of six sectors, namely, B1-B3: Dobanovci-Sava bridge near Ostruznica (works completed), Sava bridge near Ostruznica, where the right-hand bridge structure (phase I) has been completed and where the works on the left-hand bridge structure (phase II) are in progress, B4, were the right lane (phase I) is complete and the works on the construction of the Petlovo Brdo interchange are in progress, B5, where the right lane of the highway from the Orlovaca interchange to the Strazevica tunnel (phase I) has been completed, and B6, Strazevica-Bubanj Potok interchange, which will be built in cooperation with partners from China and Azerbaijan.
Section C is also planned, pertaining to the route between Bubanj Potok and Pancevo (E-70), the works on which have not yet been contracted.
The bypass route will unload the traffic in Belgrade by absorbing all transit traffic. It will also increase traffic safety and help reduce pollution.
