Three companies have bought out the technical documentation for MSK Kikinda. They have until August 10 to make concrete offers.

That’s the deadline for interested investors to decide whether to join the race for 99.9% of this company. The initial price is EUR 20.4 million. If the second sale is unsuccessful as well, MSK will enter the third round by the end of September. This can be seen from the Memorandum signed with the International Monetary Fund, Novosti reports.

Currently, 104 companies remain unsold. Public invitations for six companies are ongoing, and sales ads for nine companies are being prepared. The Ministry of Economy announces that it will place public invitations for the privatization of all other companies within the privatization portfolio if the conditions are met. PKB is the first on the list, and the ad will be placed in August.

– The Decision of the Government of Serbia defines that the process of the privatization of PKB Korporacija and its subsidiaries – Veterinarska Stanica PKB, Eko-lab, PKB Agroekonomik – be carried out using the method of a public collection of bids with a public auction in a unified procedure – the Ministry of Economy says.

– The public bidding will be held in a single procedure with the model of the sale of the property, namely a part of agricultural land and a part of the land meant for agricultural production, the buildings of PKB Korporacija used for business purposes, the equipment, the spare part stock, the herds and the stake of PKB Korporacija in the subsidiaries, as well as the model of the sale of the capital owned by the Republic of Serbia and the Equity Fund in subsidiaries Eko-lab and PKB Agroekonomik.

Public tendering for a strategic partner for RTB Bor started this month, and bids are to be sent by August 20. The Government obliged to the IMF to also open a tender for the privatization of Petrohemija by the end of September.

– Over 300 companies went into bankruptcy by April 2018, and more than 50 have been privatized since late 2014. Around 33,500 employees from around 320 companies have been paid severance packages. A total of 114 companies with nearly 45,000 employees need to be resolved, Novosti reports.
