Internacional financial union (INC) interested in construction of cement factory in Pljevlja - 90% of production for export ?
American company from Florida, Company Profile from Specelift group, is most interested in construction of cement factory. This company sent the letter of intent to Pljevlja-based Coal Mine. The talks were led with Verner Wintermaier, president of American company Internacional financial union (INC) from Miami.
Foreign partner confirmed its intention to build cement factory in Pljevlja of capacity of up 3 million tons per year, because American banks show willingness to finance the entire project. During the first phase, annual production would amount to 1.2 million tons of cement, whereas later it would amount to 3 million tons of that building material, 90% of which would be for the market of the USA. Cement factory would use marl from barren soil, electric filtering ash from Steam Power Plant "Pljevlja" and plaster or quartz sand that would be delivered from other areas.
Cement factory in Pljevlja would use necessary equipment for environment protection in accordance with DIN standards that are applied during construction of similar factories on territory of Germany. Joint commission of Coal Mine and Municipality of Pljevlja made the report on analysis of 7 possible locations for construction of cement factory. It is estimated that this project could be realized within 15 – 24 months and its implementation would provide work for 1,000 people.
Such program is, however, unusual, because cement is merchandize that does not respond well to long transport. The farthest destinations for this kind of building material are several hundreds but not over 500 km. Every longer transport would produce high expenses and transportation would cost more than the goods. There are many cement factories in America, and the USA is leading world manufacturer of cement.
