Used vehicles at 9 scrap yards – announcement of list of recycling operators within scope of “Old for New” programme

The Ministry of Environment Protection and Spatial Planning has published the manual with the conditions that must be met by the authorized operators for recycling of waste vehicles within the scope of the Government’s “Old for New” programme, which makes it possible for the owners of used vehicles to buy new "punto" with the discount of 1,000 EUR.

The citizens can give their four-wheel vehicles to the authorized recycling centers where they are going to receive the certificate. These are: Recycling center in Železnik - Belgrade, "Metalopromet" in Kula, "Energrom" in Bela Crkva, "Inos-Sinma" in Sevojno, "Inos Napredak" in Šabac, "Maxi Co" in Aleksinac, "Braća Ilić" in Bačka Palanka, "Zastava reomat" in Kragujevac and "Ekotek" in Belgrade.

The authorized operators must own the minutes of the Republic Inspection for handling dangerous and other waste, as well as the decision about agreement with the Study on estimate of influence on environment. Of course, the pressing equipment is necessary.

The operators must own the place where vehicles can be disassembled, indoor storage space for spare parts, containers for car batteries, appropriate dishes or tanks for waste oils and all other liquids and dangerous matters from the waste vehicles. Also, they must have the space where waste tires will be kept.

The website of the Ministry contains the list of the companies that meet the conditions for recycling of the parts of waste vehicles, such as car batteries, antifreeze, electronic waste, catalysts, tires, metal, plastic and oil.
