Veljko Kadijević resigned from his post in Administrative Board of "Zastava Arms"
Unsatisfied with the fact that “Zastava Arms” has not received the license for export deals, Veljko Kadijević, a member of the Administrative Board of that factory, submitted his resignation yesterday (March 8th, 2009).
According to the announcement, the factory is not allowed to realize 11 contracts worth about 50m EUR, and the reason for that is unknown since the export of arms to Libya, Cameroon, Pakistan and Montenegro is not disputable.
Kadijević said that numerous interventions of the management and the trade union of the factory, which had been aimed at the approval of export, had not given any results. The letter that was sent to the President of Serbia has been of no help so far.
