Canada’s Diamond Field, which has submitted a bid for the takeover of RTB Bor, has not met all the terms of the tender, Politika writes. This is shown by the company’s financial report, according to which it had an operating income of only USD 1 million at the end of 2017, whereas one term of the tender says that it must exceed USD 500 million.

It has not yet been confirmed whether this or something else was the reason for the company to be eliminated from the race, Politika reports. It is not known whether Diamond Field has submitted the offer through its founder, Spirit Resources SARL, or not. Unofficial information says that the Canadian company is no longer eligible.

The Work Group for the privatization of RTB Bor is still examining whether the bids submitted are in line with the tendering documentation, and the financial part of the package has not yet been opened, so it’s not yet known how much money each company has offered for the takeover of an ownership stake in RTB Bor.

Diamond Field was founded in the mid-1990s in Canada, and it operates in South America, Namibia and Mauritius. As per the group’s website, they are active in mineral explorations, and they have produced diamonds in Namibia on several occasions.
