"Swisslion Takovo" to leave SL IAT - Drašković gave up projects in Trebinje and Nevesinje
The majority owner of "Swisslion Tool Industry Trebinje"
(SL IAT), Rodoljub Drašković, has announced that he started the initiative for
cancelation of the contract on privatization of state-owned capital in that
company.
Drašković demands from SL IAT to return 17.1m KM that concern "Swisslion
Takovo" invested.
Drašković announced that he had given up all the projects related to
construction of industrial units for food production in Trebinje and Nevesinje.
He asked from SL IAT to allow him to dispose of the space that had been
mortgaged for banking loans worth 6m KM, the banking guarantees for which had
been provided by "Swisslion Takovo".
Drassković explained that the decisions had been made because of the "unhealthy
social climate in the company that is reflected in both work and realization of
new projects".
"Because of the losses that tend to grow, I am not ready to invest capital
in such economic ambience", said he.
Drašković has informed the Government of RS on his decision, as well as the
Commission for Tender Privatization, the Director General of SL IAT, Bogdan
Golić, the Administrative Board of the company, and the mayors of Trebinje and
Nevesinje.
The CEO of SL IAT, Bogdan Golić, confirmed that he had heard Drašković’s decision on March 7th, and he said that he did not know why the situation had changed since the new business projects had been arranged with Drašković only few days earlier.
