Contract signed between "Alcatel-Lucent" and "Telekom Srbija" – for expansion, enlargement and improvement of existing network

Company "Alcatel-Lucent" (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has announced today (March 11, 2009) that it has signed the contract with company "Telekom Srbija" for expansion, enlargement and improvement of the existing network. In this way, "Telekom Srbija" is going to expand its offer of services related to voice, data and broadband Internet for large number of end-users who will be able to enjoy all the benefits that company "Telekom Srbija" provides thanks to the new technologies.

According to the contract terms, "Alcatel-Lucent" is going to provide the package of solutions for optical transfer for DSLAM traffic aggregation and Ethernet business services, while 1626 Light Manager system for thick multiplexing of canals by wave length (DWDM) will be used for long-line transportation.

Besides, "Alcatel-Lucent" will offer its DSL and Litespan /MSAN technology and accompanying services for project management, software integration, integration services and technical support.
