Days of Vojvodina-Bavarian Culture BESKA FEST on September 7-8

BESKA FEST – The Days of Vojvodina-Bavarian Culture will be held for the seventh time in Beska next Friday and Saturday, September 7-8, 2018.

The event has been attracting a large number of visitors looking for good fun and gastronomic specialties for years now thanks to its international character and rich, varied content.

In a specific Vojvodina-Bavarian environment on the sports court in the center of Beska, the event will feature a Gastro Fest, and Ethno Fest and a rich cultural-artistic and entertainment-music programs. Performances by numerous folklore ensembles, music groups from Bavaria, tambura orchestras and pop and rock artists will be accompanied by a rich gastronomic offer.

Bavarian specialties – red sausages with Bavarian bred rolls, white sausages with Bavarian pretzels and sweet mustard, Leberkase, Gugelhupf, Prinzregententorte, Bienenstiche, but also specialties from Vojvodina – Beska sausages, head cheese, barbecue, donuts, strudel, pies... are only a part of the menu. This year, the menu will also feature craft beers, local wines and Bermet fortified wine.

The event is realized in cooperation with the partner Bavarian municipality of Karlshuld to the end of presenting and affirming the traditions, customs, cultures and gastronomy of Vojvodina and Bavaria and the way they have intertwined throughout the years. Beska is a long-time partner of Karlshuld and guests from Germany are expected to attend the festival.

The organizers of Beska Fest are the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Indjija and the Heritage Society Old Beska. The festival is co-organized by the Folk Ensemble Branko Radicevic, the Beska Community and the Etnoart society from Indjija and sponsored by the Municipality of Indjija and the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
