NBS to introduce new instant payment system on October 22

Starting in October, all the banks in Serbia will be able to offer their clients a payment service for receiving or sending money only with their mobile phone number without the users revealing their current account information, Kurir daily writes.

New instant payment system that NBS will implement on October 22, 2018 will enable banks to provide their clients new payment service wherein the clients will be able to make or receive a payment only with their cellphone number, and also to receive and instantly pay utility bills through their phones including cable and cell phone bills.

It also means users will be transfer money between themselves without disclosing their current account numbers while the money will be available to the recipient in a matter of seconds.
