Tender for Petrohemija and "do-over" for MSK by the end of the year

Tendering for privatization of HIP Petrohemija from Pancevo will be opened by the end of the year and to repeat the call for tender for Metanolsko-sircetni kompleks a.d. (MSK) from Kikinda, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Dragan Stevanovic announced yesterday.

He said that the government was looking for a partner for Petrohemija for some time now and added that so far the Ministry didn`t receive any offers from potential buyers.

The State Secretary said that the public call for tender for MSK would be placed again by the end of 2018. since there were no responses to the previous two calls.

He pointed out that Petrohemija and MSK operated at profit last year and expressed hope that the two companies would get new owners by the end of the year who would help improve companies` operations.

Stevanovic added that the privatization of Serbian companies was moving “bravely forward” and that currently 97% of Serbian companies were not privatized but that he expected the figure to drop below 95% by the end of 2018.
